Group Applications Manager

Description

The stow Group SAP & Applications Manager will advise the Group ICT Director & the CFO on the further evolution of the Application landscape. He/she will lead the roadmap towards further application evolutions in line with the vision of the company & the Group IT strategy.

 

Together with the Group ICT Director, to who this function reports, & the Group Infrastructure manager, you will help in bringing the full ICT department to a higher level. You will also be the main contact for SAP implementation partners & for other application partners.

What do we expect from you?

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for SAP functions & projects

  • You manage the SAP Support approach & ensure proper service level to the business/to the SAP users

  • You collaborate with the Process excellence manager in translating the business requirements into solutions in SAP or other applications

  • You challenge the SAP Implementation partner for proposed offerings (including implementation partners for other applications)

  • You take ownership of the budget & the follow up on actuals in collaboration with the Group IT Director

  • You have a leading role in the SAP Project Management team together with the Group PMO & the Process Excellence manager.

  • You manage all changes & improvements & ensure the SAP team is guarding the standards & best practices.

  • You act as a trusted advisor for the Group ICT Director

  • You manage the activities performed by implementation partners

Profile

  • You have at least a bachelor’s degree in IT or equal because of experience

  • You have at least 10 years of SAP experience including managing internal & external teams

  • You have a strong cross functional SAP knowledge with an in depth knowledge of one or more modules (SD, WM, MM, EWM, FI/CO, PS, …).

  • You have experience with managing external partners

  • You have strong management and people development skills

  • You are critical when capturing business needs

  • You are a strong communicator

  • You have a hands on mentality

  • You speak Dutch, French & English
