Job Description

The Master Data Administrator is involved in the initial setup of different software tools to create a uniform methodology of reporting and administration. These tools help the offer making, sales order handling, production, purchasing, logistics and finance and controlling. He/she ensures the tools contribute to increase the volume of work processed without an increase in workload for the employees and to complete the setup of configurations, routings, bill-of-material, and material management in SAP.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Verifies if the codes and the setup is compatible with other software and compliant with the current process flows.

  • Reads technical drawings and/or datasheets and checks the influence on master data or processes.

  • Ensures accurate and complete input in SAP and assists on Product books and Calculators.

  • Communicates with all departments on all the information received about updates.

  • Creates configuration profiles, BOM’s, routings and material codes in all systems.

  • Gives priority to codes that block the further process flows.

  • Notifies the necessary people if requested modifications are incompatible with the system or other requests.

  • Adapts existing codes to improve efficiency in other departments.

  • Helps the ERP-department with master data issues.

  • Gives support regarding master data.

  • Reports if deadlines cannot be achieved or requests remain open.

 

Qualifications

Profile

  • You have a Master degree or equal by experience

  • You have one to three years of experience

  • You are open to travel abroad, each time for a short period except during training

  • You have experience in maintaining master data in SAP

  • You turn chaos into structured information

  • You find pleasure in keeping that information up-to-date

  • You are extremely accurate and work precisely

  • You keep deadlines although information is rapidly changing and often incomplete

  • You are fluent in English spoken and written. Other languages are a plus (German, Dutch,…)
