Commissioning Engineer

  • Support replenishment of cases and pallets from storage to forward picking locations
  • Case and pallet pick operations from both automated storage and retrieval systems as well as racking positions

Job Description

As a Commissiong Engineer with iFollow, you will collaborate with an experienced team to do on-site deployments, set-up and commissioning of our iFollow robotics solutions at customer sites. This job required a unique combination of deep understanding of iFollow software and hardware solutions, well-developed project management skills, the ability to train others, relationship management and effective communication. You will be required to travel extensively which will be expensed. 

Main responsibilities:

  • Create detailed technical project plans for the deployment of complex robotic solutions, including robotic hardware, software and servers at customer locations. 
  • Actively involved with on-site infrastructure, robot and software set-up and support during initial system deployment
  • Manage onsite customer relationships with multiple internal and external teams during the on-site implementation of our iFollow robotics solutions
  • Ensure the smooth operations of the robots on-site by working hand in hand with customers after deployment.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • 1-5 years of experience in industrial systems deployments
  • Demonstrated success working both as team member and leader
  • Self-motivated and able to solve problems independently and in customer settings
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external teams
  • Knowledge of and interest in diverse technical topics, including software, hardware and robotics
  • 60% travel is required with this role
  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field
  • Practical software engineering experience with modern C++ in a Linux or Unix environment
  • Experience with Docker, Git, GitHub and JIRA
  • Experience with ROS or ROS2
