A Business Controller performs business and financial analyses on resource, product, and overhead levels, to identify and understand deviations, risks, variances, and problems. Introducing and implementing improvements in all areas of the projects and overhead business of the allocated area(s).
He/she ensures that regions and/or areas assigned are properly supported by financial information, analysis, control, and communication, to ensure that interventions and corrections can be made in a punctual manner, enabling business partners to improve business results.
A Business Controller:
- Prepares, evaluates, updates, and ensures the accuracy of Robotics resource forecasts and financial planning, including cash flow forecast, by assessing actual costs incurred, accruals and monitoring progress and performance continuously.
- Provides financial and business analyses as required and points out any foreseen or unforeseen variances.
- Prepares and monitors the budget in conjunction with the Robotics managers or department heads for assigned areas and ensures its accuracy, following up on inconsistencies between actual expenses and budgeted figures.
- Implements the established KPIs, standards, tools, and procedures, regarding the financials, in accordance with the company’s standards and procedures. He/she controls these set financial KPIs for Robotics and business areas and takes appropriate action where and when required in a proactive manner.
- Follows up on monthly provisions (cost & revenue), ensuring completeness and accuracy and adjusts where needed.
- Supports Robotics managers and department heads in ensuring adequate cost control and margin improvement to optimize profitability, in-line with the set financial objectives. He/she collaborates with Robotics managers and Reporting and compliance to ensure correct and accurate invoices are prepared, submitted on time, and collected.
- Ensures that all relevant financial master data and relevant information is updated, maintained, and filed correctly.
